23rd of june

Midsummer and bonfires.

The sportshop owner was having his dinner this midsummer night at Nokkaneset. I went across to his table. His wife looked at me and said: "Your wallet!" Yes, exactly, my wallet. I left it in their store and now they'd found it. The problem is solved, just like it is always solved in Mayberry.

midsummer

Just around midnight and in the dog's playground across the road from our house. Mikkel is asleep and Line is reading "Harry Hole". Holidays have started and who cares whether it is day or night

a city cleans up after the village idiots, and tries to heal

Last night was not at all ordinary in my usually peaceful city.
Vancouverites are ashamed as images of last night's Stanley Cup riots are broadcast around the world.  But many pulled together today to clean up the downtown core, and to express their feelings about what happened on the plywood used to board up the smashed windows.
Vacouverites express shame as well as support for the city
100's of volunteers
showed up to clean
up the city

endless rain

I love the sound of endlessly pouring rain, but now the rivers are flooding and roads are blocked due to land slides. So, maybe this is enough for now.

cold blond nights

Walking home at midnight. Daylight. Horses are grazing, sheep bells ringing

...and kids are screaming and laughing and playing on the trampolines.
