Line, not "line". Line is an ordinary Norwegian name :) Like Lisa. Except Lissa parents decided to add an s to not make it Laisa. Liiiiisa, Liiiine, how do I explain this.
pronounced "Lee-na" ... sort of. The "e" is really a schwa. Anyhoo... I was actually named after a Scotswoman. I'm the only one of the kids that didn't get a Norwegian name... although Kari (my great grandmother's name) was on the list. And, had I been a boy, I would have been named after my father's eccentric Icelandic-Canadian friend... Thor! (Yikes!!)

Your brother, Leif, has a true Norwegian name. I guess he does not often meet anyone else called the same. Kari, would be on my list, if I had a girl.
